Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Here is the confirmed release and preload information from Rockstar Games.

View original sourceRockstar Support says preload begins at local midnight on November 12, 2026. Players who preorder a digital version can begin downloading from that time.
The physical version is also expected to become available for shipping and retailer pickup starting November 12. The box contains a digital download code rather than a game disc. A code received and redeemed before launch can be used to preload the game.
Preloading downloads the game files in advance, but it does not change the official November 19 release date. Rockstar has not published a separate worldwide launch-hour schedule, so Goleonida will not assume an unlock time beyond the confirmed date.
The Standard Edition is offered digitally and as a physical code-in-box version. The Ultimate Edition is digital-only.
The physical box does not include a disc. It contains a code used to download the digital game. Physical Standard Edition owners can purchase the separate Ultimate Edition Upgrade after redeeming their game code.
Rockstar recommends buying from a retailer in the same country as your platform account to avoid activation problems. PlayStation download codes have account-region restrictions described by Rockstar Support. Xbox codes are listed by Rockstar Support as not region-locked.
Check the seller, platform, and account region before buying a code, particularly when purchasing from another country.
